Ferrari to launch 2011 car on January 28

They may be busy on the slopes at their annual ‘Wrooom’ gathering at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort, but Ferrari have found time to announce the exact date they plan to launch their 2011 car. The Italian team, who had previously said the unveiling would take place ‘during the final week of January’, have confirmed the wraps will come off the new machine on January 28.
Speaking to the media at a press conference on Wednesday morning, Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali also revealed the launch would take place at their Maranello base. The team - and the new car - will then journey to Spain to take part in the first official test of the year, which will get underway at the Valencia circuit from February 1-3.

Michael Schumacher's motorcycle racing exploits struck a hitch at the weekend when he crashed in his first appearance in German Superbikes.
The seven-times world champion has dabbled with two-wheeled racing since retiring from Formula 1, although he is adamant that he is only racing bikes for his own entertainment and has no plans to start a second career.
