The 70-acre park will be home to more than 20 major rides, exhibits and attractions, including three bespoke roller-coasters, all modeled on Formula One machinery.
F1-X bills itself as Formula One ‘recreated and remixed and is designed to appeal to men, women and children alike, allowing them to get up-close to the technology, tour the F1-X paddock, complete with team motorhomes, and sense the sports drama and daring.
Leading Formula One teams have been actively involved in the design and development process and even the park maps resemble F1 circuit maps. F1-X will be a mix of live action, cinematic and multimedia experiences, interactive exhibits and extreme rides for the whole family, with 25 percent of the park footprint designed especially for children.
To capture the innovative spirit of Formula One, 270 hours of productions are being created for a full schedule of in-park entertainment and demonstrations. The graphics, animation and atmospherics across the park will create the sensation of an exciting race day and promise to break new ground in theme park design.
F1-X is scheduled to open in the autumn.
