Prodrive submits Formula One entry for 2010

Prodrive Chairman David Richards confirmed on Friday that the UK company has lodged an entry for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship, after agreeing financial backing from investment bank Dar Capital. Richards said that while the FIAs planned budget cap for next year was higher than originally expected, Prodrive had decided the time was right to join the Formula One ranks.

British race car makers Lola have announced they will be lodging an entry for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship after completing their evaluation of the technical regulations for cost-capped teams announced by the FIA last month.

Barcelona day two - McLaren one-two in testing

McLaren retained their grip on the Barcelona timesheets on Tuesday as Lewis Hamilton again set the pace at this weeks multi-team test at Spain's Circuit de Catalunya. Hamiltons best time, a 1m 21.234s, put him two-tenths of a second clear of Heikki Kovalainen in the second MP4-23.
