Kimi Raikkonen: It’s the first race, so you don’t really know how it’s going to go, how the tyres are going to be. I didn’t really do any long runs in the winter. I knew that I had a good car, so I had a feeling that it was going to be a good race but you have to get through the first laps and then go from there.

Q: Lewis, Ferrari were fastest with Fernando in Q1 and Q2 but you managed to save the best for last.
Lewis Hamilton: Yeah, it’s been a tough weekend but we’ve managed to work on the setup and the package the guys bought from the factory - and they’ve done a fantastic job.

Q: Jenson, the last few races were not really easy for you. Today you have done the perfect race. You did the fastest time in practice, you did all the race winning it, you are the only one, I think, this year who has won from the start to the end. It has been wonderful. Just let us know your feeling winning this wonderful Belgian Grand Prix.

Jenson Button: It’s been quite a long time since I got my last pole position - that was back in 2009, Monaco I think.

Q: Lewis, a fantastic race for you, absolutely fantastic, under pressure all the time it seemed.
Lewis Hamilton: Yeah, these are the kind of grands prix, the races you win like this, where you’re under intense pressure from great drivers like Romain and Kimi – for me it’s a great reminder of the old days with Kimi – and this is the kind of day when you have to have your mind 100 per cent and I feel great because the team didn’t flinch and neither did I.

Q: Andrew, if I can start with you. First of all, who does Force India see as its rivals and where do you hope to be at the end of the season? What position? What are you targets?
Andrew Green: Ultimately, everybody on the track is our rival.

Q: Narain, tell us how HRT has changed in the last six months. How much has it changed and developed?
Narain Karthikeyan: Yeah, I think we’ve come a long way since Australia and the team has a permanent facility now and the factory is very impressive.

Heikki Kovalainen says "didn't want to explode the car"

A lap from the end of the race, the Lotus driver's Cosworth engine blew resulting in a few puffs of smoke from a rather small fire at the back of his car.
That, however, soon turned into a blazing inferno as Heikki Kovalainen attempted to park his car away from the race and, pardon the pun, out of the line of fire.
