Although Toyota showed potential during testing at Silverstone before the British Grand Prix, the team struggled for pace in qualifying and were left disappointed by their eventual race result. Super Aguri withdraw from 2008 championship

Force India usher in a new era at Mumbai launch

Force India launched their 2008 season in style on Thursday, unveiling their challenger at an official ceremony in Mumbai. The new car - a revised version of the 2007 Spyker - has been named the VJM01.
The glittering event, which took place on the Indian citys glamorous waterfront at the historic Gateway of India monument, also gave the assembled guests the first glimpse of the car's striking new gold, tungsten and white livery.

R28 designed for optimum tyre performance

Renault say their 2008 car, the R28, represents a shift in design philosophy from its predecessor, aimed at extracting optimum performance from the Bridgestone tyres that all competitors have used since the start of 2007.
Renault made no secret of the fact that last year they struggled with the enforced transition to the Japanese companys rubber, having enjoyed championship-winning success with Michelin the two previous seasons.

Theissen: we will challenge for wins

BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen is certain that the BMW Sauber F1.08 will challenge expected frontrunners Ferrari and McLaren during the 2008 season, even though the new car has so far struggled to make much of an impression in testing.
“We are convinced that the BMW Sauber F1.08 represents another significant step forward,” Theissen told the team's official website. “We are very confident that we have got what it takes to turn the duel involving the two teams ahead of us into a three-way battle.”

Honda targeting points at every race

Honda officially unveiled their 2008 car in its race livery at the teams UK base on Tuesday. Following its shakedown test at Valencia last week in the hands of race drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, it fell to test driver Alex Wurz to take the wraps of the RA108.
After their disappointing 2007 season, Honda are hoping that a complete re-evaluation of their design process will mean the RA108 can once again make the Japanese team a regular points contender.

Hamilton excluded from Australian results, Trulli regains third

McLarens Lewis Hamilton has been disqualified from last weekends Australian Grand Prix after a second stewards investigation on Thursday decided both he and his team had provided ‘misleading' evidence during a hearing held after the Melbourne race.
